Hi there, this is Nicole.
First of all, thank you so much for taking the time to read this. I just want to share with you a little bit more of all the things that are behind For My Baby Now.
This project took place because I believe that moms can stay productive while staying at home with their little ones.
So, this is a brand by moms for moms. You are a mom too and we know that once you become the mother of your child, you become a mother for all children. I just see my baby girl, and honestly, I can't understand how there are people able to harm any kiddo in this world. But, I can't stand to the idea of stay there and do nothing about it.
Every child deserves a happy home, we need to stop abuse and domestic violence. I know there's no magical solution, and I know that my work will no stop this to happen again to some innocent kid. But I want to try to save at least one. That's why For My Baby Now is working to collaborate with "Children's Safe Harbor"
The best way to collaborate actively with this cause is to work together with dedicated people. Children's Safe Harbor (Montgomery County Children's Advocacy Center) has been working on this since 1993. We are collaborating with them in the best way we can because they know how to help these kids in a comprehensive way.
I just want to share with you why is the Children’s Advocacy Center model so important? How does it make a difference for child victims of abuse? At its core, the model is about teamwork – bringing the agency professionals involved in a case together on the front end – and about putting the needs of the child victim first. So rather than having a child taken from agency to agency throughout the law enforcement and child protection systems, and having to endure multiple, sequential interviews, the CAC model brings the system to the child and brings the agency professionals together to work in a collaborative approach that results in effective, efficient and child-centered casework.
Thank you again for being here. Remember, together we can do more.
